THE HEART

PORT HARCOURT, NIGERIA

Builder.Engineer.Father.Author.Nigerian.

Builder

Every system I touch, I leave better than I found it.

I build because creation is the closest I get to understanding how things work.

Engineer

I started in hardware before the software world seduced me.

Hardware taught me that the physical world does not forgive abstraction.

Father

Two children. Everything I build is a letter to their future.

Being a father changed what excellence means to me.

Author

82,000 words about the one question that will not leave me alone.

The book is not about AI. It is about whether we are still ourselves.

Nigerian

Born here. Built here. Writing from here.

Port Harcourt is not a limitation. It is a lens.

A LIFE BUILT IN CHAPTERS

A life built in chapters.

I started with hardware. Circuit boards. Physical systems you could hold. Cybersecurity came next - learning how systems fail, how trust gets broken, how to build things that hold under pressure. I did not know then that these were the foundations of everything that came after.

My first real leadership role. I learned that leadership is not about knowing more than everyone else. It is about creating the conditions for everyone else to become more than they thought they could be. I have been working on that lesson ever since.

AI arrived in my work in a way I could not ignore. Not as a novelty. As a reckoning. I spent two years going deep - not just into the tools but into the questions underneath them. What does this mean for the people I work with? What does it mean for the soul?

Jane became my wife. The world became larger and more important on the same day. Everything I had been building alone now had a reason that was bigger than me. That is not sentiment. That is the most accurate thing I can tell you about what marriage did to my ambition.

2023
PORT HARCOURT, NIGERIA (LATER THAT YEAR)

The book began as a question I could not stop asking: if the machine can now do nearly everything the mind can do, what is left for the human being? I wrote for two years. 82,000 words. The answer surprised me.

The institution launches. Not as a website. As a body of work with a hundred-year horizon. The knowledge centre. The advisory practice. The community. The book. Everything connected. This is the work.

Still writing the next chapter.

Faith

Every question about intelligence eventually becomes a question about the soul. I take both seriously.

Family

The people I go home to every day are the reason the work has to be true, not just clever.

The Future

The world's youngest generation will inherit what we build. That is not abstract. That is the weight behind every decision I make.

12+
YEARS

AI Operator and Cybersecurity Engineer

From hardware to cybersecurity to AI operations - I have spent over a decade learning how systems work and how they fail. That technical fluency is the foundation of everything I teach and everything I advise.

82,000+
WORDS

Author

The Soul and the Machine is a two-year, 82,000-word reckoning with the most important question of our era. It is not a technology book. It is a human one.

3
CONTINENTS

Adviser and Mentor

Organisations across Africa, Europe and beyond have worked with me to navigate the AI transition without losing what makes them human. That work continues.

THE CHEST BEHIND THE WORK

Theworkisforthem.

I am a husband. A father of two. Every word I write, every client I advise, every system I secure - it is all downstream of that. Not in a sentimental way. In the way that knowing why you are doing something changes how carefully you do it. Jane and our children are the reason the work has to be worth something.

LOVE WITH INI

There is another part of this world.

Marriage. Fatherhood. What it means to love well while building something that lasts.
